Sporting AZ FC II falls to FC Grande

Sporting AZ FC II fell at home Saturday night by a score of 3-1 to visiting FC Grande.

The home side found themselves in a hole in the first half, when Erick Armenta was sent off for a hand ball in his box, leading to a penalty for FC Grande, converted by Pablo Rodriguez for the 1-0 deficit.

Playing with 10 men the rest of the way, SAZII allowed a second goal in the 62nd, this time from Grande’s Ryan Hefley, but bounced right back with a goal from Jesus Felix in the 67th, making the score 2-1.

Foster Gbogbo sealed the result for the visitors with a goal in the 76th.

Sporting AZ FC II next faces Southwest FC on Sunday, June 24 at Highland High School.
