Sporting AZ FC announced today that it will field a team in the United Premier Soccer League Women's Division in 2019.

Sporting GM Tim Marchisotto said, “We are very committed to the UPSL and its place in continuing to develop collegiate
talent and being a path to pro. Having our women's team compete in the UPSL allows them to play competitive, meaningful games and continue to grow our brand with our league partner."

Nick Morgan will serve the new team as head coach. Morgan is a native of Chicago, Illinois and currently coaches with Benedictine University and Arizona Arsenal Soccer Club. At Benedictine Morgan is an Assistant Coach specializing in goalkeepers as well as the strength and conditioning of both the men's and women's teams.

Morgan was previously a goalkeeper for Sporting AZ FC, and in 2017 won the UPSL Southwest Conference Championship. Marchisotto said, "Nick has been a tremendous asset to both Sporting AZ FC and Benedictine University. He will make a great college head coach in the near future; players really respond to him."

Morgan said "I am very grateful to the club for trusting me with the team and we will look to build a strong team that will match the success of our men's team."
